ACCC Presidential Search
The search for the Association’s next President & CEO has begun. Over the coming months, the Board of Directors will seek to identify an exceptional leader to guide our organization and advance the college and institute higher education agenda. Applications are now being accepted from candidates with the goal of appointing a new President by late spring 2013. The posting is available on the ACCC website.

CARICOM Education for Employment
On March 7, ACCC Board Chair Ann Buller will speak at a symposium in Jamaica about the importance of education and advanced skills in supporting transformation and economic growth. The event will focus on quality, qualifications frameworks, industry partnerships and education financing. The event is organized by the Jamaican Ministry of Education, the University of the West Indies, the University of Technology, CARICOM Education for Employment (C-EFE) partner institution HEART Trust and other Jamaican institutions. C-EFE is undertaken with financial support provided through the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) and is implemented by ACCC.
A Request for Proposals (RFP) has been issued under C-EFE. The RFP document, Caribbean institutional profiles and terms of reference (TORs) are available online. The deadline for submissions is March 8.

The National Executive Leadership Institute (NELI) for Potential Presidents is planned for July 2013 in Parksville, B.C., with exact dates to be confirmed.
The Vice-Presidents’ Academy will take place in Wakefield, Quebec, August 12-16, 2013.

Staff Changes
Jens-Michael Schaal has joined the ACCC Canadian Immigrant Integration Program (CIIP) team as the Program Enhancement and Quality Assurance (PEQA) Manager. Jens, who was an Orientation Officer with the CIIP UK/Gulf team from November 2010 until January 2012, most recently worked with the Information and Communications Technology Council (ICTC) as a Program Development Manager, Immigrant Initiatives. His commitment to immigrant initiatives and extensive knowledge of CIIP and its partner networks will enable him to effectively contribute to the CIIP team and ACCC’s immigration activities.
