Supporting Those Who Serve was a program to improve access to quality services and highly trained service provider for veterans and their families across Canada.
What we did:
We connected Canadian colleges and institutes with VAC field offices to raise awareness among student of career opportunities as Veteran Service Agents and Case Managers. By facilitating and streamlining work-integrated learning opportunities with VAC field offices the program helped address recruitment and retention challenges identified by Veterans Affairs Canada.
The program also provided a framework for colleges and institutes to tailor their high-quality training to VAC’s needs.

The VAC-WIL Online Guide is the one-stop destination for VAC field offices hiring college and institute students for work placements. The guide helps students better understand the roles and responsibility of Veterans Service Agents (VSA) and Case Managers (CM) and makes it easier for hiring managers to find talent.
