Career Launcher provides wage subsidies and hiring incentives to small and medium-sized employers to help them hire young people. Employers get access to top talent and support to grow their businesses. Young people of all background, identities, and abilities get paid work and learning opportunities to kickstart their careers.
Since 2015, over 2,100 young people have benefitted from hands-on learning opportunities to kickstart their careers while creating positive change in their communities through our internship programs.
In sectors like natural resources, clean technologies, digital technologies, and ImpAct – what we call work opportunities that contribute to positive change through the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) – our internship programs make Canada futureproof by supporting small and medium sized employers and organizations, responding to labour market needs, and ensuring that all young people have access to work and learning opportunities.
Funding is not currently available to hire a student or recent grad!
