ImpAct is our approach to partnership that harnesses the positive effects of collective action to help Canada deliver on its domestic and international commitments to the SDGs as they relate to post-secondary education. It gives colleges and institutes, their staff, students, and partners a framework to amplify their contributions to economic and social development, community well-being, and a sustainable future.

ImpAct-Climate raises awareness about greenhouse gases and encourages behaviour change to reduce emissions in the college and institute sector.

ImpAct-EDI provides colleges and institutes with the knowledge, skills, and tools they need to to advance equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI).

Humans of ImpAct showcases stories told by students about social enterprises in their communities. The showcase helps students better understand the role of social enterprise in building more just and equitable societies and how their own work relates the SDGs.

Reducing Barriers to Inclusive Access highlights initiatives that reduce barriers to education on campuses and in communities. The pan-Canadian showcase raises awareness about the resources and support available to help dismantle the barriers that individuals and groups encounter.

The SDG Accord is the education sector’s collective response to the Global Goals. he Accord inspires, celebrates, and advances the critical role of education in delivering on the SDGs. As signatories, we maximize the impact of our efforts, share knowledge, commit to doing more, and hold each other accountable. Our ImpAct SDG Accord Community of Practice ensures we keep the momentum going!
