The two-year program at Holland College, in Charlottetown, PEI, was created in 2006, and awards graduates with a Diploma in Bioscience Technology, enabling them to become technologists in national and international research and production facilities. The instructional team is composed of two Learning Managers and two Laboratory Technicians who provide theoretical and practical, hands-on training in various aspects of biotechnology, often via project-based learning. The program’s close association with industry, government agencies, and institutional partners ensures the development of authentic curriculum, with an average employment rate of 92%. Diploma graduates can also complete a Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology degree on PEI.
