Maritime College of Forest Technology

The Maritime Forest Ranger School (MFRS), known today as the Maritime College of Forest Technology (MCFT), was established in Fredericton, NB in April 1946 as a cooperative effort by the wood-using industries and governments of Nova Scotia and New Brunswick to re-train and integrate returning WWII veterans. For 57 years the MFRS graduated skilled, knowledgeable, and capable forest technologists for work in the Maritimes and across Canada.
