Now Extended Through 2025!
CICan’s first-ever Campus Connection Week is a national outreach and engagement campaign that will bring Members of Parliament and Senators to college, institute, CEGEP, and polytechnic campuses across the country to see firsthand the real impact of your institutions – each and every day.
With the great challenges facing the country, this is the time for a unified, whole-of-Canada approach—and your institutions are the key partners they’ll need to get things done.
This coordinated national campaign—called Real Impact Starts Here—brings into focus the real work colleges and institutes do to train skilled workers, support businesses through applied research, and help build strong, prosperous communities.
Update: Extended Timeline
Campus Connection Week is adapting to be as inclusive and impactful as possible.
- The campaign will now extend beyond October 14–17 and run through the end of 2025.
- Institutions in provinces unaffected by labour disputes may continue their outreach during the original week.
- Institutions affected by disputes will be able to participate later in the year once circumstances allow.
By extending the timeline, Campus Connection 2025 will allow all CICan member institutions to showcase their impact while maintaining strong, constructive relationships with elected officials.
Why This Matters
As Canada aims to build the strongest economy in the G7, this is a critical time to raise awareness about the role of colleges and institutes in supporting the government’s key policy priorities. Your on-the-ground expertise and community connections bring the impact of our sector to life.
