Colleges and Institutes Canada (CICan) invites eligible publicly supported post-secondary institutions to participate in the next phase of the Virtu-WIL initiative—delivering meaningful work-integrated learning (WIL) experiences to healthcare students across Canada through innovative, immersive virtual simulations.
Virtu-WIL supports students in five key healthcare disciplines: nursing, medical laboratory technology, paramedicine, respiratory therapy, and sonography.
Virtual simulations help students build clinical competencies, improve job readiness, and boost their confidence in real-world healthcare environments. Since its launch, Virtu-WIL has reached over 10,000 students and partnered with more than 50 institutions nationwide. For the 2025–2026 cycle, CICan is seeking new partners to continue expanding this impactful initiative.
