CICan’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) is a key moment for our network to come together, reflect on the past year’s achievements, and gain valuable insight into the strategic direction of our national association.

This year’s AGM is held virtually on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, beginning at 12:00 p.m. EDT and lasting approximately two hours.

During the AGM, members will:

  • Receive the Chair’s report
  • Receive the President & CEO’s report
  • Hear from guest speaker Vina Nadjibulla on the evolving Asia-Pacific landscape, Canada’s strategic interests, and opportunities for our sector
  • Receive the financial statements
  • Appoint auditors
  • Elect the At-Large Director for the Québec Region
  • Celebrate the appointment of three At-Large Directors
  • Receive an update on CICan’s strategic planning process
  • Transact such other business as may be brought properly before the meeting, or any adjournment or adjournments thereof

Guest Speaker

Vina Nadjibulla

Vice-President Research & Strategy, Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada

Vina Nadjibulla joined the Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada as Vice-President, Research & Strategy, in November 2023.

In this role, she leads the organization’s research, policy, and programmatic work on Canada’s engagement with the Indo-Pacific. This includes overseeing APF Canada’s research agenda and flagship programs, including its fellowship and capacity-building initiatives, Track 1.5 and Track 2 dialogues, and partnerships across Asia. She plays a central role in shaping the Foundation’s strategic direction, strengthening its policy impact, and expanding its presence and networks across the Indo-Pacific.

Vina is a frequent commentator on Canadian foreign policy and Indo-Pacific affairs, with particular expertise in economic security, great power competition, and Canada’s evolving relationships with China and India. Her work focuses on advancing Canada’s diversification agenda, strengthening strategic partnerships in the region, and navigating the intersection of trade, security, and emerging technologies.
