Join Us for the Waste Management and Greenhouse Gas Reduction Summit!
Zero Waste Goal – Mobilizing for Meaningful Reduction
March 13-14, 2025
Cégep du Vieux Montréal & Cégep John Abbott

This event is an opportunity to assess the state of waste management in the college environment and to enhance our practices in order to reduce waste, while also contributing to a decrease in our carbon footprint.

Participants will engage in discussions with various stakeholders in the sector and hear about inspiring practices from the college network. The challenges are many, but this meeting offers a chance to collectively ponder solutions that will improve waste management across all regions.

This activity is primarily aimed at members of the college network (teachers, students, managers, professionals, and technicians) who contribute to or are contemplating innovative environmental practices, both in Quebec and across Canada.

REGISTRATION: Free registration includes coffee breaks, lunch, and an end-of-day cocktail. Click here to register (deadline: March 3, 2025).

Virtual attendance options available for March 13. The organization of this event is eco-responsible, and carbon offsets will be provided through Arbre-évolution’s social reforestation program.

Please note that the event will be conducted exclusively in French.

This event is organized by a committee composed of the Cégep de Saint-Félicien, Cégep Édouard-Montpetit, Cégep Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Cégep du Vieux Montréal, John Abbott College, Cégep de Sherbrooke, and Cégep Gaspésie–Îles-de-la-Madeleine, with support from the Fédération des Cégeps and in partnership with Colleges and Institutes Canada (CICan) and Recyc-Québec.
