CICan Global Engagement: Manila, Philippines

October 19 - 20, 2025
  • Manila, Philippines

As part of Colleges and Institutes Canada’s (CICan) strategic engagement in the Indo-Pacific region, member institutions are invited to participate in a global engagement mission targeting partnership and business development opportunities in Southeast Asia.

The CICan EduCanada Fair and Pathways to Partnerships events co-created with the Trade Commissioner Service in Manila, will focus on in-demand programing and workforce development needs, and will connect members directly with prospective students, local post-secondary institutions, guidance counsellors, qualified recruitment partners, as well as Global Affairs Canada and Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada officials.

Why Participate?

The Philippines has experienced consistent growth in the number of students pursuing studies abroad, particularly in Canada. Rising demand for global credentials, coupled with recent reforms in Philippine higher education, has created new opportunities for CICan members to engage in both student recruitment and institutional partnerships. The government’s commitment to upskilling its workforce and expanding access to international education aligns well with the applied, career-oriented programs offered by CICan member institutions. With increasing outbound mobility and a growing middle class, the Philippines presents a strategic market for long-term engagement.
