You can receive up to $30,000 to hire a student or recent graduate!    

Career Launcher provides wage subsidies to help employers hire youth. Employers get access to top talent and support to grow their businesses. Young people of all backgrounds, identities, and abilities get paid work and learning opportunities to kickstart their careers.

Plus! Empower your business by embracing diversity. Employers hiring youth facing barriers to employment can get up to $25,000 for clean tech and $30,000 for natural resources.

Update on changes to IRCC’s International Student Program (in French)

Colleges and Institutes Canada invites its member institutions to an update in French on the changes to the International Student Program announced by IRCC on January 22.

This update will take place on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. (Eastern Time). CICan will share the latest available information and answer your questions. CICan will also be interested to hear how institutions are taking these changes into account when implementing their international student recruitment programs.

Over 6,000 healthcare students have enhanced their training using virtual simulations in nursing, medical laboratory sciences, paramedicine, and sonography through the Virtu-WIL program. 

Join us for an engaging presentation highlighting the impact, successes, and lessons learned of Virtu-WIL. Hear directly from the members of the Virtu-WIL Evaluation Working Group as they present key findings from the program evaluation. During this webinar, you will also hear strategies and recommendations for faculty and administrators to effectively integrate virtual simulations into healthcare programs.

In recognition of SDG Week Canada, join us for a stellar international panel presentation on March 5th, hosted by the World Federation of Colleges and Polytechnics, SDG Affinity Group.

Global experts on the importance of measuring progress on the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) on campuses across the world will share on their expertise and case studies. The role of technical and vocational education and training (TVET) is key for a global shift to a more inclusive, just and sustainable society and economy. Our panelists from the Environmental Association for Universities and Colleges (EAUC, UK), UNESCO-UNEVOC (Bonn, Germany) and the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE, USA) will share their perspectives on why the SDGs are relevant and timely for the TVET sector and why accurately measuring progress towards achieving these Global Goals is critically important to our world and the future of our planet.
