Colleges and Institutes Canada (CICan) invites eligible post-secondary institutions to submit quotes for the translation and adaptation of up to 25 virtual healthcare simulations into Pan Canadian French.
These simulations are part of CICan’s Virtu-WIL project, funded by Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC). In partnership with Simulation Canada, this initiative offers students in healthcare programs across Canada innovative, work-integrated learning experiences through virtual simulation. The simulations are freely accessible to Canadian educators and learners and have been co-developed with institutions across the country.
To expand accessibility for francophone learners, CICan is seeking institutions to:
- Translate and adapt simulations to ensure cultural and linguistic relevance (including subtitles, on-screen text, audio, and/or video updates)
- Translate and adapt related instructional materials such as instructor guides
- Edit and upload the completed French simulations to the designated host platform
