Be a part of a program designed to meet the unique economic challenges and skills needs of communities with a population of less than 10,000 people.
The Green Pathways for Small Communities program will help rural, remote, and northern communities diversify and grow their economies, adopt sustainable and green workforce solutions, provide opportunities for community members to develop their own skills, and help local businesses remain competitive.
Through the program, over 100 people in communities with a population of less than 10,000 will develop skills to enhance their employment profiles, including 75% from groups traditionally underrepresented in the workforce.
Colleges and institutes work with communities across the country and are experts in tailored training solutions. We are looking for proposals that maximize the expertise of Canada’s largest postsecondary network!
Join our working groups. Working group members will work with communities to identify existing skills needs, develop plans to fill gaps, and deliver customized training solutions that ensure Canadians don’t have to leave their communities to find sustainable employment opportunities.
This project is funded by Employment and Social Development Canada.
