New Brunswick College of Craft and Design
New Brunswick College of Craft and Design (NBCCD) is the only college in Canada that focuses entirely on fine crafts and design. Since 1938, the institution emphasizes on providing excellent quality education in applied and entrepreneurial fine craft and design, and helping its students establish a career in that field. The College’s campus is located in heritage buildings in downtown Fredericton, one of Canada’s cultural capitals and a hotbed of creativity. The institution provides small classes, professional studios and labs, an extensive library, and some of the best faculty in the world of crafts and design. Degrees, diplomas and certificates are offered.
A satisfaction and retention survey of graduates from 2010 to 2013 showed 94% satisfaction and 93% willingness to recommend NBCCD to a friend. There are many opportunities for students to exhibit their work and to enter it in competitions. Students and faculty regularly receive provincial, national, and international recognition for excellence across all disciplines. Instructors share their time and expertise with arts and crafts organizations, connecting students with a broader community of fine crafts people and designers.
