Kenjgewin Teg

Kenjgewin Teg is an Aboriginal-owned and controlled post-secondary institution at M’Chigeeng First Nation on Mnidoo Mnising Manitoulin Island in northern Ontario. Kenjgewin Teg is governed by eight member First Nations and its Board of Directors consists of representatives from each member First Nation. Kenjgewin Teg provides educational opportunities to its member population and to students in the surrounding area.

Kenjgewin Teg delivers post-secondary programs approved by the Ontario Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities. Kenjgewin Teg offers college and university accredited programs (certificates, apprenticeship, diplomas and degrees) through articulation agreements with public colleges (Cambrian College and Sault College) and universities (Queen University and Laurentian University). It also offers pre-employment training programs, employee training and professional development workshops. The curriculum is adapted to meet the needs of Aboriginal learners to ensure it reflects community needs, cultural heritage and identity. Kenjgewin Teg offers student support services and an Elder-in-Residence program.
