Red Crow Community College is a leader in Indigenous education, located on the Blood Reserve in southern Alberta with a satellite campus in Lethbridge. Guided by Blackfoot values and traditions, RCCC offers certificate, diploma, and degree programs designed to empower students through culturally infused learning and community engagement. Programs span diverse areas including adult education, trades, agriculture, health, and Kainai studies, with a focus on meeting the particular needs of the Blackfoot.

Opened in 2022, Red Crow’s new state-of-the-art campus provides a vibrant place for learning, collaboration, and research. The College emphasizes applied learning, offering hands-on training and real-world experiences in partnership with local businesses, Elders, and community organizations.

With a commitment to reconciliation and innovation, Red Crow prepares students to succeed as skilled professionals and leaders in their communities, and by fostering pride in Blackfoot identity and culture, Red Crow contributes to the economic, social, and cultural prosperity of the Blood Tribe and the wider region.

Oshki-Wenjack

Founded in 1996 by the Nishnawbe Aski Nation (NAN), Oshki-Wenjack is an Indigenous post-secondary Indigenous Institute committed to increasing access to accredited post-secondary education in our 49 First Nation communities, as well as Indigenous learners from across Ontario. Our students, instructors, and support staff come from closely knit communities and we strive to create an environment that feels like home, whether in the classroom or meeting online. We focus on creating a learning environment that is designed for Indigenous learners, and feels welcoming at every step along the learning journey.

We work closely with NAN communities to develop unique educational programs that directly serve the workforce needs of those communities. Whether courses are delivered remotely online or in-person in Thunder Bay, the emphasis at Oshki-Wenjack is always on Located in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Oshki-Wenjack is grounded in the belief that all learners deserve to feel a sense of belonging and support on their path to learning. We were founded by the 49 Indigenous communities of the Nishnawbe Aski Nation to offer educational programs that support and strengthen our people and communities.

Our mission is to achieve excellence as a leader in the innovative design and delivery of quality post-secondary & training programs which meet the holistic educational needs of Nishnawbe Aski Nation and other learners in a safe, inclusive, supportive and culturally enriched learning environment.

Suncrest College was established in 2023 after the merging of Cumberland College and Parkland College, two regional colleges in Saskatchewan. The creation of Suncrest College resulted in a robust and innovative post-secondary institution that is better positioned to serve its learners and communities through shared resources, increased partnership opportunities, and the development of new programming.

The college offers a superior learning experience with locations in Canora, Esterhazy, Fort Qu’Appelle, Kamsack, Melfort, Melville, Nipawin, Tisdale, and Yorkton. Students can choose from a wide array of educational options, including university degrees, skills training diplomas and certificates, trades training, high school upgrading, employability programs, safety training, and corporate/professional development. Suncrest College has been conducting applied research for over 10 years in areas including agriculture and Indigenous social innovation. The College is proud to be the home of the Saskatchewan Emergency Response Institute where professional and industrial firefighting training takes place. Suncrest College is committed to accessibility, inclusion, and diversity. In small classes, students and instructors get to know each other, often helping students to learn more easily and achieve more success. When students succeed, it benefits the individual, the community, and the economy.

Yukon University is the only publicly funded post-secondary education institution in Yukon, a territory of 36,000 inhabitants spread out over 482,000 square kilometers. The University has 11 community campuses – one in almost every town/village within the territory, with the main campus located in Whitehorse and one at the correctional centre. One quarter of the Yukon University student body takes courses at one of the community campuses. At the main campus – Ayamdigut – there are approximately 1,200 students registered in credit programming, half of which are part time. In Continuing Education there can be up to 5,000 students registered each year in short courses.

At Yukon University, the instructors teach with a northern perspective, offering over 50 programs, ranging from degrees to certificates to apprenticeships. Yukon University works closely with business and industry, developing programs designed to address labour force needs. Vanier College

Vanier College is a publicly-funded English language CEGEP located in Montreal. Situated on an oasis of green in the Borough of Saint-Laurent, of the City of Montreal, Vanier College occupies property and buildings purchased by the government from the Soeurs de Sainte-Croix who previously operated a convent (Couvent Notre-Dame-des-Anges) and a private women’s college (Collège Basile-Moreau) in the location. Today, Vanier College welcomes a student population with numbers over 6,700 full-time Diploma students, and an additional 2,000 students attending through the Continuing Education Department (credit and non-credit courses and programs).

Vanier College continues to offer full time pre-university programs and technical career programs leading to a Diploma of College Studies (DCS), while the Continuing Education Department offers credit DCS courses and Attestation of College Studies (ACS) programs, as well as non credit courses and programs. Red River College (RRC) is Manitoba’s largest institute of applied learning. Established in 1976, the Saskatchewan Indian Institute of Technologies (SIIT) is one of the four Saskatchewan educational institutions with credit granting authority.

SIIT offers certificate and diploma programs in the trades and industrial areas, business, information technology, health and community studies, and adult basic education to more than 2,400 students annually. Programming is delivered through three principal campuses in Regina, Saskatoon and Prince Albert, plus eight Career Centres and a number of learning centres located throughout the province. SIIT also operates the Saskatchewan Aviation Learning Centre at the Saskatoon airport.

Governed by First Nations leaders and representatives from across the province, SIIT strives to be the institute of choice for Aboriginal individuals. SIIT is building strong relationships and partnerships with a growing range of industry leaders, professional associations, and academic institutions.
