CIIP welcomes its 30,000th graduateThe Canadian Immigrant Integration Program (CIIP) recently celebrated a significant milestone: serving 30,000 clients! A ceremony marking the occasion was held in CIIP’s New Delhi office, where CIIP participants Gagandeep Sodhi and Deepshikha Sidhu were honoured. The Canadian High Commissioner presented the couple with certificates as well as an Inukshuk. Former CIIP clients, CIIP staff, as well as the CIIP Director from Ottawa were in attendance. The couple wrote enthusiastically about how much they had benefited from their CIIP session: “We would like to express our gratitude to you and your team for the wonderful two days at your office. We gained a lot of knowledge in your lovely session and in your team members' sessions; they were awesome. We are really excited and all charged-up to give it all to our pre-departure preparation.” They leave for Ottawa in the coming months. CIIP is a groundbreaking program that prepares prospective immigrants for economic integration while still in their country of origin. Launched as a pilot project in 2007, CIIP was recently extended to 2017. The program is funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada and administered by Colleges and Institutes Canada.
