New Brunswick Community College (NBCC) is leading an initiative to market New Brunswick as an international study destination. With support from the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA) NBCC has partnered with the New Brunswick Department of Post-Secondary Education, Training and Labour (PETL) and eight other teaching institutions to create a group called EduNB which aims to build partnerships and create new opportunities around the world. EduNB recently hosted a tour of New Brunswick for China, India, Colombia, and Mauritius delegates.
The time has finally come for CICan’s annual conference! I could not be happier to be in Winnipeg to meet with so many of CICan’s members! Last week I was in Ottawa for a few days for some last minute meetings and preparations with the CICan staff, and then Thursday it was off to Winnipeg! I started off with a visit to Red River College, which is one of the host institutions for ‘Leading Change’. I always love visiting college campuses, and Red River is no exception! I then swung into conference mode on Saturday, with pre-conference sessions, meetings, and networking opportunities. I can’t wait to start attending the different presentations, and to go to the WFCP annual general meeting! First I will be heading to the CICan Conference closing gala, where our member awards of excellence will be revealed! Stay tuned!

Éric Milette is the new Director of Studies at College Shawinigan. Mr. Milette’s 5 year term will begin on August 3rd, 2015.
