Governor General’s Delegation to Mexico, Peru and Guatemala
James Knight accompanied Governor General David Johnston as he visited Mexico, Peru and Guatemala to promote Canada’s ongoing engagement in the Americas. The mission focused on building ties among PSE institutions through student and faculty exchanges, and collaboration in research. Mr. Knight participated in a panel discussion on the Future of Canadian-Mexican Relations. While in Peru, he announced that work has begun on ACCC’s Education for Employment Program for the Andean Region.
The Aerospace Review report released November 29, 2012 stressed the need for strengthening the workforce and the role of small businesses in Canada’s aerospace ecosystem. An ACCC Committee chaired by Serge Brasset, Director General of Collège Édouard-Montpetit contributed to the review process in the areas of people and skills; technology development, demonstration and commercialization; and market access and market development.
