The Institut de tourisme et d’hôtellerie du Quebec (Institute of tourism & hospitality) has compiled an Ambassador’s Circle list to highlight individuals who have supported the institution through the years, either by getting involved in its activities and events, by training student apprentices, or by taking part in important partnerships. These 62 individuals have played a crucial role in the development of the tourism, hospitality and restaurant industries. The group includes chefs, businessmen and women, communications specialists, and leaders in the public and private sectors. What a neat way to recognize these ambassadors for their support!
This week, I had the absolute pleasure of co-chairing the Incredible and Credible Leader IPAC National Leadership Conference and Awards ceremony. The conference took place at the King Edward Hotel in Toronto, and it was great to travel with 3 of my CICan colleagues Susan Sproule, Cynthia Murphy and Joe Noguiera. This event was centered on how leaders can earn credibility and in turn be incredible by meeting organizational objectives and delivering results. I co-chaired this conference with Robert Taylor, the CEO of the Institute of Public Administration of Canada, and we had the opportunity to listen and learn from many incredible leaders. I particularly enjoyed listening to Juliet Bourke, a Partner in Human Capital at Deloitte and Partner & Chief Inclusion Officer at Deloitte Australia, speak about the importance of diversity and inclusion. She emphasized that these two elements lead to innovation, and I wholeheartedly agree! I also drew from some of my own experiences as a leader and spoke about how to build credibility at each stage of your career. I always enjoy sharing my experience and promoting leadership discussions. The conference was also a great way to meet and interact with leaders from all over the country and learn from their expertise. The event also featured an awards ceremony, where many individuals and associations were recognized for their leadership skills. Congratulations to all for being outstanding leaders, and thank you to IPAC for allowing me to take part in this great event!

Congratulations!
