Investment in College Applied Research Partnerships Benefits Communities, Businesses and the Economy

d amyot photoOttawa, ON, June 21, 2013 – Denise Amyot, President and CEO of the Association of Canadian Community Colleges (ACCC) today issued this statement in support of the Government of Canada’s investment in new college applied research partnerships.

“I want to congratulate the Government of Canada for their ongoing investments in and support of college and institute expertise that supports industry through the College and Community Innovation (CCI) program.

“Every day, partnerships with public colleges, institutes and polytechnics are contributing to economic growth and employment opportunities in communities across Canada.

“It is gratifying to see so many ACCC member institutions benefiting from this latest CCI investment and I look forward to seeing their innovations contribute to the new or improved products and services needed for a prosperous economy.”
