Ottawa, May 29, 2012 – ACCC announced today that it has negotiated a model licence agreement with Access Copyright.
The model licence will be available to ACCC members who wish to use it. Users will pay Access Copyright an annual fee of $10 per full time equivalent student.
The model licence begins on January 1, 2011 and ends on December 31, 2015. The model licence can be renewed or canceled at the end of 2015. Otherwise the model licence will renew automatically.
The licence requires ACCC member institutions to participate in a survey to gather bibliographic and copying volume data. Reporting requirements remain unchanged.
“The rate represents a good outcome for members that want cost certainty related to copying activities to the end of 2015”, says ACCC’s President and CEO James Knight.
ACCC is the national voice for 128 publicly-funded colleges and institutes with campuses in 1,000 communities across Canada.
