Supporting Innovation in the Technical and Vocational Education Sector: Towards Productivity and Competitiveness (SITVES) is a three-year (2019-2022) CAD $1M project funded by the International Development Research Centre (IDRC). SITVES aims to contribute equitably to the socio-economic transformation of counties and Kenya’s development agenda through innovation, research with a focus on women and girls. Colleges and Institutes Canada (CICan) is implementing this project in collaboration with two Kenyan partner organizations: Linking Industry with Academia Programme Trust (LIWA) and the Rift Valley Technical Training Institute (RVTTI).
SITVES requires the services of a Canadian consultant from among CICan member institutions to support the delivery of specific outcomes and outputs of the project under Pillar 1: Innovation and Applied Research Hubs that includes the development of a toolkit and workshops on how to establish innovation and applied research hubs at up to four Kenyan Vocational Education and/or Training institutions.
