Universities Canada and Colleges and Institutes Canada are in search of a consultant to develop a partnership development strategy for the Outbound Student Mobility Pilot program, funded by Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC).
As part of Canada’s new International Education Strategy, Universities Canada and Colleges and Institutes Canada have been selected by the Government of Canada to design and administer a new outbound student mobility pilot program. This investment by the federal government will provide thousands of post-secondary students with the opportunity to study and work overseas, strengthening their global competencies and enriching Canada’s economic prosperity.
Due to COVID-19 program implementation has shifted to a phased approach, starting with the implementation of innovation projects at the institutional level, and continued program design at the national level, including the development of a partnership development strategy that will:
- Strengthen program quality including by increasing program accessibility and student safety;
- Raise awareness of the benefits and value of study/work abroad experiences to help create a culture of mobility; and
- Leverage support to create a more permanent international education program in Canada.
The development of a partnership strategy for the pilot program will support the above objectives and aim to strengthen the overall implementation of the program.
Deadline for bids to be submitted: Extended to January 8th 2020
