Call for Expression of Interest – Skills Compass Program

Deadline extended for Expression of Interest submission to Thursday, April 1, 2021, 11:59 p.m., EDT

Colleges and Institutes Canada (CICan) invites its members to develop, pilot and evaluate a program that improve access to education and training and the transition to employment for Indigenous and newcomer youth who are currently ‘Not in Education, Employment or Training’ (NEET).

The Skills Compass program is a 3-year program designed to help engage young Canadians who are currently not in employment, education or training (NEET) to develop the life skills, essential skills and career readiness they need to go back to school and prepare for a career.

A committee comprised of CICan staff members will review and assess proposals within two weeks from the submission deadline. Proposals will be scored according to the criteria outlined in the table above.

For more information, please do not hesitate to contact Emily M. Lecompte, Senior Program Officer with the Skills Compass Program under the Canadian Partnerships Team by email at
