1. Advocacy Updates

Pre-budget Submission and Advocacy Meetings

CICan continues to advocate for support for SME engagement services through applied research at colleges and institutes. Through meetings with the Chief of Staff of Minister Bains, the National Research Council, NSERC, CFI, and other stakeholders in the applied research sector, CICan continues to share the story of how applied research can benefit innovation in Canada and strengthen the economy by increasing SME engagement in R&D. As the 2020 federal budget consultations are underway, CICan will continue its push for SME engagement services to strengthen the capacity of applied research offices across the country.
