Colleges and Institutes Canada (CICan) worked with Hungary’s Ministry of Labour and other relevant ministries to reform the TVET system in the country. CICan provided technical assistance in: (i) supporting continuing transition towards a market economy by developing a high quality and comprehensive post-secondary training system; (ii) promoting stability through the improvement of policy, planning and human resources development functions of the participating ministries; and (iii) establishing a foundation for long term co-operation between Hungarian and Canadian educational institutions. CICan’s suppport also involved organizing study tours and fellowship programs in Canada for representatives from the participating ministries.
