Colleges and Institutes Canada (CICan) assisted the Directorate of Non-Formal Education (DNFE), in Bangladesh, to build a monitoring and evaluation (M&E) system into operations of the Directorate in implementation of the Post-Literacy and Continuing Education Development Project. M&E processes established included record keeping, tracking attendance and learning outcomes as well as effective sharing of information. CICan provided staff of the Directorate and participants from other implementing institutions or agencies at different levels with the necessary orientation and training. A self-monitoring mechanism was also introduced at the community level.
