Colleges and Institutes Canada worked with the Directorate General of Primary and Secondary Education, and other related institutions in Indonesia on improving access to junior secondary education. CICan specifically assisted with: (i) setting up compliance systems, and operating the project’s Financial Support Unit at central, provincial and district offices; (ii) design and development of baseline indicators to determine realistic, controllable, and measurable targets that reflect expected project results; and (iii) making recommendations for improving project design and implementation. CICan also contributed extensively to establishing central, provincial and district inter-linked Education Information Systems to ensure easy transfer of data.
