Colleges and Institutes Canada (CICan) worked with the Government of Jordan to develop a national policy and action plan on technical and vocational education and training (TVET). It was to ensure that skills development provided in TVET institutions meet the labour demands of Jordanian businesses and industries. Working with the Vocational Training Corporation, in particular, CICan delivered trainings in both Canada and Jordan to build the technical capacity of participants from the Corporation as well as TVET instructors. CICan also assisted with conducting studies in the areas of Women in Technology and Education-Industry Interface, and helped to standardize curriculum development. In general, CICan was responsible for coordinating three parallel TVET systems at the national level in Jordan in implementation of the project.
