Project Description

Colleges and Institutes Canada (CICan) worked with with the Secretariat of Professional and Technical Education (SETEC) of Brazil’s Ministry of Education to build the capacity of trainers within 13 Federal Centres for Technological Education (CEFETS). One of the major components of the project focused on capacity building for marginalized women of North-East Brazil. CICan assisted with improving technical training programs in which over thousand of the women from the North-East of Brazil participated. And, to increase employment opportunities among these women, CICan facilitated collaboration with stakeholders from industries and the local private sector.
