Emily Carr University of Art and Design
Emily Carr University of Art and Design is the only post-secondary institution in British Columbia devoted to education and research in the creative sector. It was established in 1925, and focuses on combining research, critical theory, and studio practice. The institution is located in vibrant and stunning Vancouver, and is currently undergoing a transformation by creating and unveiling a new campus at Great Northern Way. Philanthropists and makers of culture have been encouraged to submit ideas on how to develop the False Creek Flats of Vancouver, BC, where Emily Carr’s new campus will be built. The school offers ten undergraduate degrees, three graduate degrees, and year-round certificates, programs and classes for part-time creative study. It is home to 2,002 full time students, 1,273 part-time students, and 421 international students from 51 countries around the world.
