This is how we...
Contribute to our Community
Students and staff come together to fundraise and support a wide variety of organizations in the community. Construction Engineering Technology students build homes with Habitat for Humanity. Fashion Design students make clothes for people in homeless shelters. Esthetician students raise money to buy toys and food for underprivileged children in the community. Electrical Engineering Technology students bring light to dog walking parks and more. Students in our Community Studies programs volunteer at support group homes. Accounting students do tax returns for seniors. It’s impossible to put a dollar figure on the fundraising and volunteer hours invested, as the College works side by side with community partners. We can, however, measure the incredible personal satisfaction and learning opportunities that come with each and every experience our students and staff have when they get involved. It’s priceless!

St. Clair Grad Named in Marketing Magazine’s Top 30 Under 30 Across Canada A St. Clair grad has been named by Canadian magazine, Marketing, as one of this year’s Top 30 Under 30 advertising professionals across the country. Celia Gibb, 28, graduated from St. Clair’s Advertising & Marketing Communications Management program in 2010 and is thrilled about Marketing magazine’s honour. “It’s very surreal to be part of Marketing’s 30 Under 30,” says Gibb. She explains that every year, Marketing magazine pores through hundreds of nominations to narrow the list down to 30 individuals under 30 years whose resumés “read like those of seasoned vets.” “To be honest, I am touched that someone even thought to nominate me, let alone to actually place in the final list,” says Gibb, who is currently a Supervisor for Communications Strategies for m2 Canada. Partner with Business and Community
St. Clair College is proud to have a number of industry partners in the community. In June 2015, business, industry and educators came together to form the Industry/Education Taskforce to discuss ways to solve the “skills mismatch” issues that face local employers. St. Clair College’s President, Patti France, along with the local School Board leaders and representative from business and industry are playing an active role in this taskforce.
The College has numerous community partners who support the College with clinical placements, field placements and work placements. Health care institutions, community service agencies, business and industry are all partners who support the College. Two notable partners located on campus are the Schlegel Village of St. Clair, a long-term care facility that provides opportunities for students in our health care programs, and Huron Lodge, a City of Windsor run long term care facility that also provides opportunities for clinical and field placements for our students.
