{"id":33395,"date":"2024-03-05T16:01:21","date_gmt":"2024-03-05T16:01:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.collegesinstitutes.ca\/defi-impact-climat\/week4\/"},"modified":"2024-03-05T20:11:54","modified_gmt":"2024-03-05T20:11:54","slug":"semaine-4","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.collegesinstitutes.ca\/fr\/defi-impact-climat\/semaine-4\/","title":{"rendered":"Sagesse autochtone\u202f: pierre angulaire de la conservation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"lead\">Cette quatri\u00e8me semaine du d\u00e9fi aborde les initiatives de conservation et d\u2019intendance autochtones et rappelle l\u2019importance d\u2019une approche holistique dans la pr\u00e9servation de la biodiversit\u00e9, l\u2019\u00e9quilibre des \u00e9cosyst\u00e8mes et la promesse d\u2019un avenir durable.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"border-0\">Quelles sont ces initiatives?<\/h2>\n<p>Les initiatives de conservation et d\u2019intendance autochtones reposent sur des pratiques environnementales guid\u00e9es par les connaissances, les valeurs et la sagesse traditionnelles autochtones qui sont issues du lien holistique des communaut\u00e9s avec leurs terres ancestrales et favorisent la gestion durable des ressources, la pr\u00e9servation de la biodiversit\u00e9 et la protection de l\u2019h\u00e9ritage culturel. <\/p>\n<p>Plus de 70\u202f% des peuples autochtones canadiens vivent dans les r\u00e9gions bor\u00e9ales. Leur intendance contribue \u00e0 la pr\u00e9servation de plus de 25\u202f% des milieux humides mondiaux, propices \u00e0 la s\u00e9questration du carbone, \u00e0 la survie de la faune et au maintien des \u00e9cosyst\u00e8mes essentiels.  <\/p>\n<p>Les communaut\u00e9s autochtones m\u00e8nent la transition des combustibles fossiles vers l\u2019\u00e9nergie renouvelable au Canada, devenant les agents les plus importants de changement \u00e9coresponsable au pays. Leur implication inclut la propri\u00e9t\u00e9, la copropri\u00e9t\u00e9 et les ententes financi\u00e8res concernant presque 20\u202f% des infrastructures de production d\u2019\u00e9nergie \u00e9lectrique au Canada.  <\/p>\n<h2 class=\"border-0\">En quoi est-ce diff\u00e9rent?<\/h2>\n<p>Contrairement aux approches conventionnelles, g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement ax\u00e9es sur les m\u00e9thodes scientifiques et la conservation et une importance moindre \u00e0 la relation entre les humains et la nature, les m\u00e9thodes autochtones int\u00e8grent des concepts spirituels, culturels et \u00e9cologiques. Elles reconnaissent l\u2019interd\u00e9pendance de tous les \u00eatres vivants et pr\u00e9conisent l\u2019harmonie entre les humains et le monde naturel. Cette approche vise la durabilit\u00e9 \u00e0 long terme plut\u00f4t que les profits \u00e0 court terme, cr\u00e9ant ainsi des \u00e9cosyst\u00e8mes r\u00e9silients.  <\/p>\n<p><em>Voyez l\u2019exemple de <a href=\"https:\/\/ici.radio-canada.ca\/recit-numerique\/195\/thaidene-nene-reserve-protection-parc-canada-tno-lutsel-ke-dene\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Thaidene N\u00ebn\u00e9<\/a> aux Territoires du Nord-Ouest, o\u00f9 l\u2019\u00e9quilibre durable est rendu possible gr\u00e2ce aux m\u00e9thodes autochtones en conservation.     <\/em>  <\/p>\n<div class=\"video-container my-5\"><iframe width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/dW-Z_Qx4b-4?si=yUOH2wx5AeJYOttM\" title=\"YouTube video player\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p><strong>Le saviez-vous?<\/strong> L\u2019intendance autochtone est un puissant moteur de conservation qui prot\u00e8ge la biodiversit\u00e9 canadienne. Les terres entretenues par les Autochtones pr\u00e9servent en moyenne 190\u202fesp\u00e8ces uniques d\u2019amphibiens, de mammif\u00e8res, de reptiles et d\u2019oiseaux. Comparez ces donn\u00e9es remarquables aux 126\u202fesp\u00e8ces pr\u00e9sentes sur les terres non prot\u00e9g\u00e9es.   <\/p>\n<p>Les peuples autochtones ne forment que 5\u202f% de la population mondiale. Ils sont pourtant les gardiens de 20\u202f% de la plan\u00e8te et prot\u00e8gent plus de 80\u202f% de la biodiversit\u00e9.   <\/p>\n<p>La sagesse des communaut\u00e9s autochtones est reconnue dans la <a href=\"https:\/\/unfccc.int\/fr\/news\/comment-les-peuples-indigenes-enrichissent-l-action-climatique\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Convention-cadre des Nations unies sur les changements climatiques<\/a> comme vitale dans l\u2019action pour le climat.   <\/p>\n<h2 class=\"border-0\">Passer \u00e0 l\u2019action\u202f: adopter les modes de conservation autochtones<\/h2>\n<p>La population \u00e9tudiante, le personnel et le corps enseignant des \u00e9tablissements canadiens peuvent adopter les m\u00e9thodes de conservation autochtone et d\u00e9passer la port\u00e9e de l\u2019ODD\u202f13 des Nations Unies en int\u00e9grant ces conseils\u202f:  <\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Apprendre des connaissances autochtones\u202f:<\/strong> \u00c9tablir des partenariats respectueux et b\u00e9n\u00e9fiques avec les communaut\u00e9s autochtones locales et leurs d\u00e9tenteurs du savoir, en accordant la priorit\u00e9 aux droits et \u00e0 la voix autochtones, en leur demandant conseil et en apprenant les pratiques traditionnelles de gestion des terres. (Objectifs : 4, 10, 11, 16 et 17)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Int\u00e9grer les pratiques traditionnelles\u202f:<\/strong> Assimiler les techniques autochtones (br\u00fblage dirig\u00e9, gestion du paysage) qui favorisent la diversit\u00e9 et pr\u00e9viennent les risques (p. ex. feux de for\u00eat), en les int\u00e9grant, parall\u00e8lement au respect des pratiques autochtones traditionnelles, au curriculum et programmes coll\u00e9giaux, ou simplement en en faisant la promotion. (Objectifs : 4, 9, 10, 11, 14, 15 et 16)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Organiser \u00e9changes culturels et ateliers\u202f:<\/strong> Planifier ateliers, s\u00e9minaires et programmes d\u2019\u00e9changes culturels o\u00f9 \u00e9tudiants, personnel et enseignants peuvent rencontrer les d\u00e9tenteurs du savoir dans l\u2019\u00e9galit\u00e9 et le respect pour comprendre les principes de l\u2019intendance durable. (Objectifs : 4, 10, 11, 16 et 17)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Pr\u00e9voir des sorties \u00e9ducatives\u202f:<\/strong> Planifier des sorties dans les terres g\u00e9r\u00e9es par des Autochtones pour noter le succ\u00e8s des pratiques traditionnelles et des nouvelles strat\u00e9gies de conservation. (Objectifs : 4, 11, 14 et 15)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Respecter la souverainet\u00e9 autochtone et comprendre les trait\u00e9s\u202f:<\/strong> Promouvoir et honorer le droit des Autochtones \u00e0 r\u00e9gir leurs terres traditionnelles en d\u00e9fendant l\u2019effort de d\u00e9colonisation actuel. (Objectifs : 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 14, 15 et 16)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Appuyer les initiatives autochtones\u202f:<\/strong> Collaborer aux projets des communaut\u00e9s autochtones, leur offrant soutien et ressources dans leurs initiatives de conservation. Comprendre les trait\u00e9s qui concernent notre territoire est essentiel puisque ces ententes sont le fondement du partage des terres et de la coexistence en ces lieux. (Objectifs : 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 14, 15 et 17)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Sensibiliser le public\u202f:<\/strong> Participer \u00e0 la sensibilisation du public aux cultures autochtones, \u00e0 la justice sociale et au r\u00f4le vital des communaut\u00e9s dans la conservation de la biodiversit\u00e9.
