Postponement of Leadership Institutes
Given the continuing concerns over COVID-19 and in keeping with the recommendations of public health officials to avoid large gatherings and limit non-essential travel, we have made the difficult decision to postpone for another year this summer’s Leadership Institutes to June 2022. Registered participated will be contacted and are eligible for a full refund or transfer of registration fees to summer 2022.
Our primary concern has been, and will always remain, the health and well-being of our members, participants, and partners.
Who should attend
Those in the role of manager or new director in international offices/divisions who seek leadership development for their current position; leaders who are new or interested in learning how to better lead their department and institution in international initiatives.
Key areas will be examined, including:
- leadership – self-assessment and skills assessment;
- the key elements and challenges of this role;
- the role of the international office/division in your institution;

The specific and varied stories shared by the senior Deans/Directors of International provided a long-term picture of the necessary foundation needed for international education start-up operations, right through to the bumps, bruises and huge successes experienced as a result of comprehensive internationalization mandates. The conversations were compelling and the strong mentor/mentee relationships continue to support emerging leaders across Canada’s college sector.
