2020 CICan On the Hill + Student Showcase Program

CICan on the Hill will provide college and institute leaders with opportunities to engage with parliamentarians and senior federal officials on policy and advocacy priorities related to the role of colleges and institutes in building a stronger, more inclusive and sustainable country.

In addition to the program of presentations outlined below, teams of college and institute presidents, government relations leads and students will have meetings with Members of Parliament (MP), Senators and senior federal officials. Priority will be given to securing meetings with MPs and Senators in strategic roles including with Parliamentary Secretaries, members of key Parliamentary Committees and Shadow Cabinet members of opposition parties. Meetings will be structured according to policy and advocacy priorities and briefing materials will be provided. Presidents and government relations leads will receive a schedule of meetings and will step out of plenary sessions to attend meetings as required.
